What a great summer read! Just pure fun. It was an adventure through rose colored glasses adorned by the young and innocent. It moved at a great pace and kept me involved enough that I read it in a single sitting. I enjoyed the sweet, funny, yet sometimes intense story. I cannot wait to read the loveable protagonist, Mike's, next adventure. My Best/Worst Summer eBook Mark F Lawrence Reviews
Wow! Great read with some real laugh out loud moments! The action in the story never lets up and moves you along on a very entertaining journey. The characters are engaging in spite of their flaws which leaves you cheering them on in their accidental adventures. The book has the feel of a Spielberg-esque type of movie. A very definite recommendation.
Mr. Lawrence spins a great yarn! And quite an engaging storyline with interesting characters reminding me of simpler times and vacations as a kid with my own family. We certainly were not as adventurous as their dad, Jack, taking his boys out on the high seas. But I am looking forward to his next book and what happens to Mike.
